Nashville is a town that I always wanted to visit and when I saw that the Imaging USA Conference was being held in Mid-January, I decided that this was the perfect opportunity. The conference hotel was very expensive ($200+ per night). The Nashville KOA Resort was only a couple of miles away, and I paid significantly less. Granted, this was not exactly in season and it was very cold! In fact, it snowed a couple of days. Fortunately, being from Florida, I was prepared for the cold.
While I didn’t get many pictures of the campground, because it was cold, snowing and I was busy at the conference, it was a great campground with plenty to offer. Whenever I am back in the Nashville area, this will be my campground of choice. Probably the most appreciated service was the roundtrip bus shuttle service to downtown Nashville right from the campground. The bus shuttle will drop you off at a good central location where you can easily explore the nightlife. The bus shuttle service runs late, so you will have no problems enjoying the night.
The Check-In Process
As with most KOA campgrounds, the process is simple and the staff was very friendly. They provided an overview of the amenities and let me know about the details of the bus shuttle service. In the main building, there was a Cafe with breakfast and lunch items available, a fitness center, laundry room, pool table, ping-pong table, tour information services, and a great gathering place. There is also a decent general store with food and merchandise options.
The pool and hot tub area are located right behind the main building along with clean, modern bathrooms. The Bus shuttle service will pick you upright in front of the main office.
The RV Sites
The sites were gravel and level with full-service hook-ups. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring. There are paved patio sites available. Additionally, there are Deluxe Pull Through Pet Sites with Patio. These sites come with a private 12×18 dog run.
The Pull Thru, 50/30 Amps, Full Hookups Standard Pull Through is the most economical choice. It includes cable with over 20 channels. The wi-fi available at the site was sufficient for streaming while I was there but the campground was not very busy.

Review & Recommendations
While I visited when it was cold and snowing, I did walk around the campground and check out some of the amenities. The campground does live up to the feel of a “campground resort” that will provide plenty of activities when not out touring the area. As previously mentioned, you can book a variety of tours through Gray Line Tennessee in the main office/recreation building.
